Heart Stays Relevant With First-Ever "Club Remix," Performing at Hard Rock Live on November 4

Starting with 1976's raucous Dreamboat Annie, sisters Nancy and Ann Wilson -- the hard-rockin' masterminds behind Heart -- played a critical role in the history of womankind's right to rock.

The Wilsons, with the help of assorted, equally heavy backup shredders, earned the distinction of being called "the female Zeppelin." While drawing from Page and Plant, Heart also shaved off rock and roll's last bit of blues to herald the golden age of FM radio and album oriented rock.

They offered the world ladies who rocked harder than your average Joni Mitchell/Joan Baez coffeehaus regulars. Four decades later, and Heart is still pumping (sorry...). But they've made the necessary adjustments to keep up with 2012's increasingly digitized media culture.

A club remix of their own song appears on their Soundcloud. It's part of the legendary duo's promotion for their latest album, 2012's Fanatic. No word on whether or not Heart will be performing any dubstep remixes on their upcoming tour. But if you're a fan of their new record -- or any of the band's catalogue from the height of sick solos -- Hard Rock Live has got you covered.

Heart. With special guest Shawn Colvin. 7 p.m., Sunday, November 4, Hard Rock Live, 1 Seminole Way, Hollywood. Tickets cost $44 to $74 plus fees. Call 954-797-5531, or visit hardrocklivehollywoodfl.com.
