HEART CONCERT AT
TCU PLACE IN SASKATOON, SK
TO GO ON AS
PLANNED
In a recent story on cbc.ca,
rock band Heart was said to be stranded at a truck stop
outside of Winnipeg, MB, following their performance at MTS Centre on Thursday,
February 17th.
With whiteout conditions and zero visibility on
the highways well into Friday morning, Ann and Nancy Wilson, along with band
and crew, were determined to make it to Saskatoon to perform for fans at TCU
Place. The show will go on as planned and Heart fans won't be
disappointed.
2011 marks the 35th anniversary of Heart's
debut record Dreamboat Annie. This groundbreaking album was
recorded in Vancouver, BC, where they lived at the time, and was first released
in Canada.
"Heart Comes Home" tour is the duo's
first coast-to-coast tour in three decades. With a 20-concert run that
started on January 28th in St. John's, NL and is to end in their hometown of
Vancouver, BC on February 26th, Heart is fulfilling a long held desire to play
for their Canadian fans.
As Ann and Nancy put it themselves, "Heart
had its musical genesis in Vancouver and as artists, Canada has always been our
spiritual home. Canadians love to rock and we are happy to be bringing
Heart as it is now back to Canada. Heart is coming home”.
