In The Studio with Ann & Nancy Wilson

HEART Beats A Path To Rock’n’Roll Hall Of Fame

‘InTheStudio’ With Ann & Nancy Wilson

Dallas, TX - APRIL 9, 2013. North American syndicated Rock radio show and website
InTheStudio: The Stories Behind History’s Greatest Rock Bands congratulates HEART
on the eve of their induction into the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame. The Wilson sisters,
guitarist/singer Nancy and singin’ sistuh Ann share the stories behind three of their early
best: Dreamboat Annie, Little Queen, and Dog and Butterfly. These albums helped
HEART secure a place among rock music’s elite producing hits “Crazy on You”, “Magic
Man”, “Dreamboat Anne”, “Barracuda”, “Little Queen”, “Straight On” and “Dog &
Butterfly”. Fronted by two these female musicians, HEART was far from the typical
Seventies rock outfit. Nancy Wilson points out to InTheStudio program host Redbeard
how HEART’s success was an important step for women in the music business.

“It was a real first to see two women who were not just the ornaments, but the writers
and the singers and the players, too. And I think, if anything, that it did for other women
in the ‘biz’, it gave them a lot of encouragement and a lot of hope.”
