The Story Of Heart: ‘Kicking And Dreaming’
“Crazy On You,” “These Dreams,” “Barracuda” and “Magic Man” are just a few of the 21 top 40 hits off the 30 million records the rock band Heart has sold since the 1970′s and earned the band a nomination for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year.
The band’s stars, Ann and Nancy Wilson, have inspired singers like Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson. Eminem covered them, as have millions of people on Guitar Hero.
Members of the band, Pearl Jam said,”Heart is our hometown band made good. The older kids from the Pacific Northwest who showed us, in effect, how it’s done. And the Wilson sisters have never really stopped doing it.”
This year, the band released a new CD called “Frantic,” got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and has come out with a new memoir,”Kicking and Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock and Roll.”
